Getting Clear on Your Goals
Before you can create a shift or change in your life (AKA, your New Year’s Resolutions), you have to get clear with yourself on what you want to feel and why you want to make that change.
When talking about purpose, people often ask “what’s your why?”, which means what’s driving you to achieve that goal or make that shift.
The first answer is often the number—the money they want to make, the grade or the number on the scale. The real WHY comes from what they want to feel and this is key when talking about shifting our mindsets so we can attract what we really want.
Sure, maybe you want to make a couple hundred thousand dollars this year or write your book or get the score, but what’s the real reason driving that? Maybe you want to feel more comfortable financially so you can provide for your family. Or, maybe you want to share your knowledge with the world and change lives. Or, you simply just want to feel healthy and strong so you can keep up with your kids.
Do yourself a favor—before you give in to the New Year’s Resolutions myth, get out a journal and take a few minutes to free-write what you want to feel in 2019—then think of the ways that you can achieve those feelings.

Once you get clear on your goals for the new year, create better habits now that will shift your mindset to help you achieve these goals.
