I used to really struggle with saying no to others. People pleasing was a problem; I became exhausted, insecure and really unhappy. But guess what? When I started to honor my time and energy the people in my life did too. Do you ever find it difficult to ask for what you want or have trouble saying no? Have no fear, I’ve got some great tricks to help you feel confident in any situation.
You deserve to be treated with respect, but you have to show up for yourself first. This video is a quick guide to some of my favorite techniques for speaking up with confidence. Don’t forget these truths when you get anxious or uncomfortable saying no:
- I have the right to expect honesty and respect from others
- I have the right to be angry or frustrated at someone I love
- I have the right to be uniquely myself
- I have the right to change my mind
Start Saying No With Confidence
Confidence starts when you stand up for yourself and exercise your right to just say, ‘nah.’ Think about how you should be treated, what you deserve, and how you want to feel. There is no reason you should put up with anything less than that: you DESERVE respect and positive self-esteem.
So how do you feel confident saying no and asking for what you want? Watch this quick video to feel confident in the skin you’re in, know when to put your foot down and respect yourself and your time.
